Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 September 2026
These terms govern use of the Freight Margin Guard app for Shopify, operated by Nsawa Enterprises LLC (“we”). By installing or using the app you agree to them on behalf of your business.
The service
Freight Margin Guard reconciles carrier invoices against your store’s orders, shows per-shipment shipping margin, detects potential overcharges and losses, and prepares evidence packages you can use to dispute charges with your carrier. It is a reconciliation and reporting tool — it is not a rate calculator, a shipping label platform, or a claims-filing service, and it never files disputes with carriers on its own.
Findings are estimates until you review them
Detected findings are produced automatically from your synced orders and the invoice files you upload, with the calculation shown for every finding. They depend on the completeness and accuracy of those inputs. Review findings before acting on them; you are responsible for any dispute you file with a carrier and for the accuracy of what you submit. We do not guarantee that any disputed amount will be recovered, and nothing in the app is financial, legal or accounting advice.
Plans, trials and billing
Subscriptions are billed through Shopify on the plan you choose (Guard $99/month, Recover $199/month, Scale $399/month). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Each plan includes stated limits (stores, carrier accounts, invoice lines per month, features); reaching a limit pauses further processing and prompts you to upgrade — it never creates unrequested charges. You can change plans at any time, and cancel by switching plans or uninstalling the app; Shopify’s billing terms govern proration and refunds.
Your data and our license
Your store data and invoice files remain yours. You grant us the license needed to process them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to upload the files you provide.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to process data you are not entitled to, attempt to access another merchant’s data, probe or disrupt the service, or rely on it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may improve or change features over time; material reductions in functionality will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including unrecovered carrier charges or disputes decided against you.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app. After uninstall, data is retained for 30 days (so a reinstall restores your workspace) and then permanently deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate for material breach of these terms.
